Galina Dolya is the Curriculum Director of Key to Learning, which has developed an innovative Vygotskian approach to Early Years Education. She is an acknowledged world leading expert on the practical application of Vygotsky’s Theory of Learning and Development. She has worked at every level from Early Years to University and trained hundreds of teachers and trainers world-wide. Currently she is a Researcher at the Pedagogical Academy of Preschool Education, Moscow. She is based in the UK.
Nikolai Veraksa is Professor of Psychology at Moscow University of Psychology and Education, Head of Research and Development of Educational System at the Department of Social Psychology.
He is also head of the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy of Cognitive Abilities at the Research Institute of the Development of Preschool Education, Russian Academy of Education, Moscow.
Key trainer of “Key to Learning”, and our Polish partner, is Master of Economics and Public Relations, but her real passion is early childhood education, in which she has been involved since 2001. She has worked as a consultant in this field and also as a teacher in a kindergarten. She successfully trained hundreds of kindergarten and school teachers, educational experts and methodological consultants. She was a partner in many European projects aimed at improving
the quality of education in Poland.

Erich and Maryke are our partners in South Africa.
Maryke is an Occupational Therapist and has worked as occupational therapist for 19 years in a variety of Health, Community and Educational settings and services in South Africa and the United Kingdom. Maryke is passionate about children’s ability to learn, and for this reason completed her master’s degree in Education whilst living in the UK. Since her return to South Africa in 2014, she has worked at various educational settings. Currently, she is working as independent occupational therapist and K2L curriculum adviser.

Katie Burns is a British early years and primary teacher with a passion for teaching learning and thinking skills, who has been teaching in schools around the world for the last 12 years. During this time she met and worked with Galina at her school. She also worked as a consultant for 7 years prior to that, teaching courses for business. She is currently using Key to Learning with her own daughter and is using the experience to build the Key to Learning curriculum into a programme for home schooling parents and parents interested in supplementing their children’s early years education. Katie is working to make this service available by early 2017.

Sunny has a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care from TAFE Meadowbank, NSW Australia. She was a full time mother and a teacher for her child in his first five years. She has trained hundreds of preschool teachers in Indonesia. She serves as Children’s Supervisor at Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) and is a preschool teacher aid at an International Baccalaureate school in Western Sydney.

Mayra Nieves Rosa
Mayra Nieves Rosa has a Master’s degree on Cultural Agency and Administration and a BA on Communications from the University of Puerto Rico; she also has a Certificate on Environmental Education from Florida University. As Executive Director for Key to Learning Caribbean, Mayra facilitates to educators, parents and the community at large access to our curriculum and coordinates presentations and trainings. Key to Learning Caribbean is located in Puerto Rico.
